Police: woman robbed beauty supply store, assaulted employees

A woman is accused of robbing a Northeast beauty supply store, then assaulting the employees who confronted her.

Police charged 23-year-old Shykeytra Jones, of the 6000 block of Dyer, with two counts of robbery.

Thursday, Jones entered Choi’s Beauty and Supply at 9155 Dyer at 11:30 a.m. Jones took several items from the stores shelves and allegedly attempted to leave without paying.

Store employees attempted to stop Jone, who allegedly slapping and punching the
employees. Police located located Jones a short distance away and were able to recover the stolen property.

Jones was booked into the El Paso County Jail on bonds totaling $30,000.
