Train snags Cable TV lines, snaps 2 utility poles near Downtown
El Paso Electric officials said a train hooked some Cable TV lines and snapped two utility poles Monday next to the Union Depot.
Several power lines were strewn across several railroad tracks near Downtown, and power lines could be seen holding up a utility pole whose bottom half was missing.
El Paso police along with railroad police were on the scene after the poles were ripped apart. El Paso Electric repair crews were also on hand to assist and repair the damage. A utility spokesman said two poles will have to be replaced
It appears no one was injured and no electric customers lost power.
