Report: Former UTEP Associate AD leaving Mizzou to become Baylor’s new AD
Baylor will hire Missouri athletic director Mack Rhoades as its new athletic director, according to a person with knowledge of the decision.
The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because neither school has announced the move yet.
Rhoades worked in the UTEP athletic department from 1998 to 2006 and served as the executive senior associate athletic director before being hired as the athletic director at Houston.
He had been on the job as Missouri’s AD for 16 months.
Rhoades will replace former Baylor AD Ian McCaw, who resigned on May 30, after being placed on probation as part of Baylor’s response to a scathing report about its failure to properly respond to allegations of sexual assaults.
