Former Miner Demps visits El Paso
Former UTEP Miner and now current safety for the Houston Texans, Quintin Demps, made a pit stop in the Borderland.
“Coming back home I am flooded with so many memories,” Demps said.
Demps visited El Paso to host fan meet and greets, speak at a football camp in Clint as well as throw out the first pitch at the Chihuahuas game Monday night.
“It’s a dream come true,” Demps said. “I’ve been playing football in Texas for almost 20 years now, so it’s good to come back to the place that molded me.”
Demps played for 4 different NFL teams in 7 years before making the roster yet again for the Texans, in what seems to be a solid fit.
The Texan’s season kicks off at home against the Bears on Sep. 11.
