Sheriff’s deputies say 27-year-old Alejandro Rosillo Jr. is the man killed in a crash Sunday morning in Fabens.

The crash happened around 3:30 a.m. on I-10 East and mile marker 51.

According to sheriff’s deputies, the crash involved a semi-trailer and a gold Toyota.

Deputies say Rosillo Jr. was traveling west, going the wrong way on I-10 East, when he crashed head-on with the semi-trailer. Rosillo Jr. was the only person in the car and died at the scene.

Sheriff’s deputies tell ABC-7 they are still investigating the crash. Surveillance footage provided by a viewer shows the impact.

The freeway was closed as crews worked to clear the area. All traffic was being diverted onto Fabens Road at mile marker 49. The closure lasted several hours.
