UPDATE: Foul play not suspected after body found near railroad tracks
Police do not believe foul play was involved in the death of an elderly man whose body was found near the railroad tracks by Memorial Park.
The man’s body was found after 5 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Morenci Road and Grama Street in Central El Paso.
In a tweet, the El Paso Police Department said, “Body of elderly male discovered near railroad tracks.”
Police say passers-by were walking alongside the railroad tracks when they discovered the man’s body. Police say the man was in an advanced state of decomposition.
Police say foul play is not suspected at this time and the investigation is
continuing. The man has yet to be identified.
