Police: Suspected drunk driver had eight prior DWI convictions
A man charged with DWI Sunday has eight prior DWI convictions, police said.
The Police Department’s DWI Task Force arrested Efren Saenz Sunday, July 24.The 60-year-old was charged with “DWI Third or More.”
According to Police, Saenz slowed down for a green light and was pulled over for a defective brake light. At the time, he was heading eastbound on Montana approaching Piedras.
DWI Task Force officers found him to be intoxicated and placed him under arrest.
Further investigation revealed Saenz has eight previous convictions for DWI offenses. Saenz was booked into the El Paso County Jail on a bond of $3,500.00.
