Trial continues for Carlos Holcombe

2014. and today was the second day of his trial. carlos holcombe — a former fort bliss soldier allegedly asked the young girl for help. according to the complaint affidavit he then put a gun to her back and forced her into his s-u-v. abc-7’s jerry najera was in the court room. he is live with the details … rick estela holcombe pleaded not guilty back in 2014. today prosecuters put 2 witnesses on the stand. a nurse who performs sexual assault examinations and a crime scene investegator. a warning the details of the case are graphic. “that 12-year-old girl was strong witness she was really paying attention to what that going on” that was sherrif richard wiles back in 2014 talking about how the victim –a 12- year-old girl provided details that helped in the arrest of former ft bliss soldier carlos holcombe. wiles added it was horizon highschool’s newly installed cameras that provided much need help in holcombes arrest. “this system provided clear photos of the vehicle and the suspect” a complain affadavit stated after holcombe allegedly forced the young girl in the suv. he drove her to a home less than a mile away –covered her eyes with duct tape –tied her hands and raped her in the garage of this home. tuesday afternoon a jury of 9 women and three men listened to cathleen justice a nurse who performs sexual assault examinations. she described the lesions and tears on the young girls genitalia as the jury cringed. justice also said the girl complained her abdomen and wrists hurt and she that didn’t know who had raped her. also on the stand a crime scene investigator for the sheriffs office. he explained pictures he had taken at the scene. one showed halcombe wearing a team bliss sweatshirt and another showed a bag that had been found in halcombes home it contained a gun, 2 rolls of duct tape and gloves. the gun was later described as a bb gun. the defense did ask if any of halcomes fingerprints were found on the bag containning the gun. prosecuters said halcombes fingerprints were not found on the bag. a man accused of killing a popular radio d-j is out
