Socorro man accused of murdering wife
A 68-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly killing his wife.
A spokeswoman for the El Paso County Sheriff’s office says the murder happened around 8 p.m. Saturday. The Socorro Police Department was called out to the 10000 block of Donna Marie drive for a shots fired call.
When police arrived they found 67-year-old Linda Rosales dead with a gunshot wound.
Socorro police requested the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Major Crime Unit take over the investigation.
Sheriff’s deputies learned that 68-year-old Jose Rosales had shot Linda Rosales after the couple had an argument.
Jose Rosales was arrested and booked at the El Paso County Detention Facility under a $500,000 bond.
