Update: Three children killed in deadly house fire

Three children died in a mobile home fire in Socorro Friday evening, according to El Paso Police. Firefighters entered the home on the 400 block of Newell Hays to fight the fire where they found the bodies.

Crimes Against Persons detectives and the El Paso Fire Department are investigating the deaths.

Two other residents, including a man, 69, and another child, 3, were taken to University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

ABC-7 learned they have been released from the hospital.

The fire was reported around 6:30pm on the 400 block of Landgren.

Emergency crews were able to extinguish the fire within 30 minutes.

El Paso Police Dept. officers are now assisting the fire department with the investigation.

There is a GoFundMe page set up by Christopher Pedroza on Sept. 24, asking for “help for Funeral cost (sic) and a place to live. Anything will help.”
