LCPD investigating shooting, possible home invasion

Police are investigating a shooting and a stabbing on the 300 block of Keathley.

A police spokesman tells ABC-7’s Jamie Warren a 16-year-old boy was shot and a 37-year-old man was stabbed multiple times.

“I wasn’t surprised because two or three maybe, even four weeks ago, there were two police vehicles out front of that house, so I thought whatever the problem was it had been taken care,” said a neighbor who wished not to be identified. “I assumed that much so I was really surprised to drive by and see the crime scene tape, that was the shocker.”

“We don’t know the circumstances,” said Dan Trujillo with LCPD, “We will be investigating and locating witnesses.”

A source tells ABC-7 this was a possible home invasion, but police have not confirmed that information.
