FBI, bomb squad respond to suspicious package in Westside neighborhood

The El Paso Police Department’s bomb squad and FBI agents had part of a Westside neighborhood blocked off Sunday morning as they responded to reports of a suspicious package.

Officers set up a command post at Krupp Drive and Eubank Court near the house where residents had called police to report receiving a package they thought was suspicious. After examining the package, the bomb squad determined that it was not a threat and cleared the area by noon.
