All El Paso teams eliminated in high school football playoffs
The Eastlake Falcons were hopeful to win their third straight area round title, but The Monterey Plainsmen made it a tougher challenge than expected.
The Plainsmen took a 52-14 halftime lead thanks to running back Zae Johnson’s 113 rushing yards and 2 scores. Not to mention quarterback Jaron Jones threw for 182 yards and rushed for 115 in just the first half alone.
The Falcons are now eliminated from the postseason as they lost 59-26 and finish the year at 7-5.
