Shoppers flocked to malls, shopping centers and department stores to grab the best deals, but consumers.
Black Friday is well underway across the nation.
The marketing director for Cielo Vista Mall said there has been a shift in shopping trends.
“The early opening at 6 a.m. probably is not as crazy as it used to be, in terms of the traffic, but we do see that on Thursday evening,” Cindy Voght said.
More people are staying up later on Thanksgiving rather than waking up early of Black Friday.
The shopping craze on Thursday has most recently been dubbed Gray Thursday and Cielo Vista was part of the trend this year.
The mall opened Thursday from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. and reopened Friday morning to more early shoppers.
Some items that will top this year’s shopping list include televisions, entertainment systems, laptops, game consoles and clothing.
Regardless of how early people started their shopping, Black Friday is still one of the busiest days of the year.
An estimated 137 million Americans are expected to shop through Sunday.
