2 DWI Suspects Arrested: One wanted on theft charge, another allegedly speeding 100 mph

Police arrested two DWI suspects early Saturday morning.

James Schilling, 47, of Del Rio, Texas, was allegedly spotted driving his pickup more than a 100 mph on I-10 West near mile marker 30.

An officer assigned to the police department’s DWI Task Force managed to pull over Schilling near the Geronimo exit in Central El Paso.

Schilling was allegedly found to be intoxicated and was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on bonds totaling $600.

Schilling was arrested at about 12:52 am Saturday.

At about 2:00 am Saturday, an officer spotted 33-year old Janet Castro driving a black 2006 Nissan Sentra east on the 6100 block of Montana, allegedly weaving from the center lane into the right lane several times.

Castro was stopped for the violation and allegedly found to be intoxicated. She was arrested and charged with DWI.

Further investigation revealed Castro had an outstanding warrant for “Theft Over $20,000.00 – Under $100,000.” She was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on the DWI charge and the outstanding Theft warrant.

Her bonds totaled $75,600, police said.
