Outage leaves more than 2,000 EP Electric customers without power

About 2,300 El Paso Electric customers experienced a power outage in East El Paso Wednesday morning.

El Paso Electric officials said on social media that power has been restored — about an hour after the outage was reported.

Officials also said the outage was caused by a faulty underground cable which crews are working to replace.
