Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino opens new hotel

Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino has opened a new hotel.

“The Hotel” is located at 1202 Futurity Drive in Sunland Park. The Hotel features 78 rooms and six suites with views of the racetrack and provides upscale accommodations.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Friday after 13 months of planning and construction. Owners tell Abc-7 the hotel will attract horse owners who do business with the racetrack and casino customers.

“We want to make sure that we provide accommodations that are comfortable for a business traveler and for a casino customer as well. The El Paso market and borderland market has a huge business traveler demand. And so we have the great fortune of being able to capitalize on not only a business traveler but also for the casino customers that would like to stay and enjoy themselves in the casino a little bit longer than they would be able to,” Sumer Linder, Co-Owner of The Hotel at Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino said.

Rooms start at $109. The Hotel is part of the Ascend Hotel Collection.
