Cleanup underway in Las Cruces following Tuesday’s flooding

Crews are cleaning up the muddy mess left behind by flooding Tuesday night along the 4000 block of East Lohman.

ABC-7’s New Mexico Mobile Newsroom reports rain measuring almost two inches flooded streets and brought mud from a nearby hill. Street crews were seen working all morning to clear debris.

A water rescue photo from Tuesday night shows a car submerged in water near Sonoma Ranch and Camino Lindo in East Las Cruces, about a half mile north from the new Walmart.

The witness who took the photo told ABC-7 the driver able to escape.

No injuries were reported.
