Pull a fire truck this Saturday!

The Sun City community will gather Saturday, June 17th for the annual Fire Truck Pull, where El Pasoans will put their strength to the test.

Special Olympics Texas (SOTX), the Greater El paso Area the Law Enforcement Torch Run, and the El Paso community are partnering together to raise money for the Special Olympics in Texas.

Teams will be comprised of 10 people, and they will have to pull a 55,000-pound fire truck 75 feet in the fastest time.

To participate, teams have to raise a minimum of $250. All money raised from this event will benefit more than 2,300 Special Olympics Texas athletes in the Greater El Paso Area.

The event will be held at the Fire Fighters Academy at Ascarate Park. Check-in and registration begin at 8 a.m. and the first pull will start 9 a.m.
