Hit-and-run victim dies, driver still on the loose
The victim of a hit-and-run Saturday died Sunday, El Paso Police said.
Police say the alleged hit-and-run driver is still on the loose.
The deadly wreck happened at the intersection of North Cleveland and Clark at about 7:30 pm.
The driver of what police describe as a black 1990s model sports car was speeding and ran the stop sign at the intersection.
Police said the driver struck and killed the pedestrian, a 69-year-old man crossing the street at the same time.
The victims identity will be released once family members have been notified.
This marks the 24th traffic fatality of the year.
