Police arrest suspects in armed robberies
Las Cruces Police arrested two suspects believed to be involved in an armed robbery and an aggravated burglary.
Logan Jarrette, 26, of Albuquerque; and William Worley, 33, of Las Cruces, have been arrested for armed robbery and aggravated burglary committed this past weekend.
Jarret was arrested June 20 and is charged with one count of armed robbery, aggravated burglary with a deadly weapon, two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and two counts of conspiracy.
A day later, on June 21, Worley was arrested and charged with aggravated burglary with a deadly weapon, two counts of aggravated assault and one count of conspiracy.
At about 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 18, Las Cruces Police investigators learned a man armed with a handgun entered the Pic Quick convenience store at 1770 S. Telshor Blvd. and demanded cash from a clerk.The man fled the store with $18, a few packs of cigarettes and some lottery tickets.
On the following day, at about 2:40 a.m. on Sunday, June 18, police were dispatched to investigate an armed robbery at an apartment at 3500 Foothills Drive. Worley was let into the apartment by a friend and left shortly after, leaving the residents of the apartment suspicious. A few moments later, an armed man later identified as Jarette, burst into the apartment and demanded the couple’s cell phones, money and other items.
Investigators later learned Jarrette was the suspect from the armed robbery at the Pic Quick and believe Worley was his accomplice in both incidents.
Bond for Jarrette was set at $50,000 while Worley is being held on a $10,000 bond. Jarrette is also being held on a warrant from Bernalillo County.
