22-year-old dies after being struck on I-25
New Mexico State police say a 22 year old Las Cruces man has died after being struck by a car while crossing Interstate 25.
The crash happened on Thursday, July 13 around 10:18 p.m.
Investigators say Frankie Vigil attempted to run across all 6 lanes of the highway when he was struck by a passing motorist.
Vigil sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported by air ambulance to University of El Paso Medical Center in El Paso, TX.
The victim died from his injuries on Friday, July 14. The incident is still under investigation.
