UPDATE: Outages due to weather, crews working to restore power
Around 9,000 people in Las Cruces are reported to be without power, according to the El Paso Electric Outage Map.
The first of the outages was reported around 12:16 a.m., and more have spread throughout the city.
A majority of the outages are reported near Lohman Avenue and Solano Drive.
El Paso Electric told ABC-7 the outages were due to severe weather in the area.
Power has been restored to more than 2,000 customers, crews are working to fully restore power to all customers.
