App now allows people to replace green card
Replacing a green card will now be at the touch of a fingertip.
United States Citizenship and Immigration Services announced Tuesday that applicants will be able to replace a damaged, lost or expired card with the help of a cell phone.
Replacing a green card requires providing certain evidence like a government issued I.D., plus filling out the application, Form I-90.
Now there’s no need to submit all of that paperwork, applicants will be able take photos of those documents and upload them through your phone.
The redesigned platform allows users to answer questions more specific to their case, creating a more personalized experience.
Plus, it will also be able to track their application status and give people the ability to communicate with the agency through a secure inbox.
