Surveillance video shows hostage situation in Alamogordo

New surveillance video shows the moments New Mexico State Police rushed to rescue 14 people from a hostage situation at McGinn’s Pistachio Tree Ranch in Alamogordo.

The suspect, Kaleb Scroggins, has pleaded guilty to separate charges. A judge sentenced him to three and a half years in jail for drug and domestic violence charges.

Scroggins is still facing charges for the shooting and hostage situation in June. He could face more than 63 years in prison if convicted for those incidents.

The video showing what happened was obtained by KOAT in Albuquerque.
