Diario de Juarez reports 49 persons killed in Juarez in July
The Diario de Juarez newspaper is reporting 49 homicides in the border city during the month of July.
Investigators with the Chihuahua state police told the paper that 30 of the victims were killed by gunshots.
The other 19 victims died either by stabbing or physical assault. Two of the victims were decapitated.
83 persons died last month in June.
Authorities say 416 persons have been killed so far this year.
