Traffic stop leads to arrest of man accused of possessing Xanax and hashish
The El Paso Police Department’s Gang unit arrested Adam Joshua Frias for allegedly possessing Xanax and hashish.
Officials say officers conducted a traffic stop in Northeast El Paso for driving while talking on a cell phone when they smelled burning marijuana coming from inside the Honda Ridgeline at 3:33 a.m. Wednesday morning.
That’s when officials searched the car and found a pill bottle containing hashish and 65 Xanax pills on the floor of the car.
Authorities booked the 23-year-old into the county jail on a $4,500 bond on a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
