El Paso gang member charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon

The El Paso Police Department’s Gang Unit has arrested and charged a 30 year old Northeast El Paso man with Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon. Officers stopped David Lamar Rollins at 3:03 p.m. on the 5400 block of Yvette Wednesday.

Rollins had an outstanding warrant for Possession of Controlled Substance. Officers also found that he was illegally in possession of a handgun located in the center console of the black 2014 Chevrolet Silverado he was driving. Rollins was placed under arrest for the outstanding warrant and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon. He was booked into the El Paso County Jail on bonds totaling $15,000.00.
