EPPD: 5 suspected in theft of Mustang GT vehicles from Casa Ford dealership

Police arrested five men in connection to the theft of six cars from the Casa Ford dealership at 5815 Montana.

The alleged thefts happened in the overnight hours between the 27th and 28th of September, police said.

Five 2017 Ford Mustangs GTs and a 2017 Ford Focus RS were stolen from the dealership, police added.

Investigators with the Auto Theft Task Force were able to recover four of the six stolen cars and obtained warrants for the five men allegedly involved.

Police said the total value of the stolen vehicles is more than $240,000.

Two of the Mustangs GTs have not been recovered, police said.

The five men were each arrested over the past week and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.

Police identified the suspects as:

22-year-old Luis Lopez
Charge: Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle
Bond: $3,000 bond

21-year-old Michael Owens
Charge: Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity (Theft) over $150,000
Bond: $150,000 bond

20-year-old Marcos Molina
Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity (Theft) over $150,000
Bond: $150,000 bond

19-year-old Benjamin Sanchez
Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity (Theft) over $150,000
Bond $150,000 bond

18-year-old Roman Chavez
Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity (Theft) over $150,000
Bond: $275,000
