Man charged with online solicitation of a minor under 14

Twenty-seven-year-old Josue Raul Hernandez has been arrested and charged with online solicitation of a minor under 14-years-old.

The El Paso Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children revealed that Hernandez had been having conversations online with a 13-year-old victim and had expressed interest in meeting with the victim for sexual purposes.

Once investigators established contact with Hernandez through the victim’s online account a meeting was schedule for Wednesday, October 11, 2015 at the 8100 block of Independence.

When Hernandez arrived at the address he was taken into custody and charged with online solicitation of a minor under 14 year of age which is a 2nd degree felony.

He was booked into the El Paso County Jail on bonds totaling $28,000.00. This investigation continues.
