FBI announces results of nationwide underage sex trafficking crackdown
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) along with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children announced the results of a nationwide effort to stop underage human trafficking.
Officials say 84 minors were recovered and more than 100 traffickers arrested nationwide as part of Operation Cross County IX.
FBI agents from El Paso along with state and local law enforcement officers conducted several prostitution stings between October 12 and 13 in El Paso, Pecos and Fort Stockton. Those operations resulted in at least one minor being recovered in Pecos. Two adult traffickers were arrested and will be prosecuted by US attorney in the Western district of Texas in El Paso
