El Paso man charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child

The El Paso man accused of sexually assaulting two girls allegedly started abusing one of the accusers when she was five years old, a criminal complaint affidavit states.

Police arrested Jaime Oscar Cadena, 62, and charged him with two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child.

While investigating the alleged sexual assault of the five-year-old girl, the mother told police detectives the victim’s six-year-old sister also came forward with allegations of sexual abuse.

A criminal complaint states the victim’s mother arrived home from work and found the six-year-old girl in Cadena’s bedroom. When the woman asked the girl why her pants and underwear were down, the girl allegedly said Cadena had been tickling her.

When detectives spoke with the accuser, the child said she was in her bedroom when Cadena called her to his room. Cadena allegedly removed the girl’s pants and underwear and sexually assaulted her, the criminal complaint states.

Cadena allegedly confessed to investigators back in March 2017. He was booked into the El Paso County Jail on bonds totaling $300,000.00.
