El Paso Parks and Recreation Department holds Pumpkin Patch Swimming events for families

The City of El Paso Parks and Recreation Department is holding a Pumpkin Patch Swimming event Saturday, October 28 to help families find their perfect pumpkin this Fall.

It will be held from noon to 1 p.m. at the Armijo Aquatic Center, 911 S. Ochoa.

At the event, kids can walk into the zero-depth side of the pool to collect their favorite pumpkin. There will be water, but about zero to three inches deep.

Officials say the floor will not be slippery and pumpkins are limited to one per child. Pumpkins vary in size.

At the event, officials will also teach families hands-only CPR and give instructions on life jackets.

Following the event, the pool will remain open for recreational swimming.

For more information, call the department at (915) 212-0397 or visit its website.
