Charcoaler back open

The grills are back on, and once again customers are lining up to get their hands on a burger from a favorite local restaurant.

Charcoaler has officially made its return to West El Paso.

The drive-thru closed in January, but ABC-7 learned in October that the owners of Wing Daddy’s and Toro Burger restaurants partnered up with the granddaughter of the original owner to re-open the restaurant.

Although customers can expect all the original flavors and menu options, there are a few things the new owners plan to add.

“It’ll be more things to do with the property,” said Mario Southern, a co-owner of the Charcoaler. “We’re going to add an indoor seating option with large covered patios. The interior section will be fenced in so the kids can enjoy some small games while parents can enjoy a burger.”

The owners told ABC-7 that the patio and indoor seating should be completed sometime mid-2018.
