Major crash shuts down US-54 Northbound at Ellerthorpe

A major crash on US-54 and Ellerthorpe has shut down the northbound lanes of the highway. Emergency dispatchers tell abc-7 one person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. However, the car is mangled and emergency crews are working on clearing the scene. Take Gateway, or Railroad to avoid that area.
