Masked men allegedly rob Las Cruces hotel at gunpoint; suspects on the loose

Police are asking the public for help identifying two men who allegedly robbed a hotel clerk at gunpoint and fired a round at the victim as she ran away.

Police said the masked men robbed the Comfort Inn and Suites located at 1300 Avenida de Mesilla at about 5 am Thursday

An armed suspect allegedly threatened a female hotel clerk and demanded money. The hotel clerk complied with the demands and ran away.

As the victim fled, the armed suspect allegedly fired a round in the direction of the woman. Police say the hotel clerk wasn’t harmed and the two men fled the hotel in an unknown direction.

The armed suspect was described as a 5-foot-6 white male and the second suspect was described as a 5-foot-3 hispanic male. Both were described as young and possibly in their late teens or early 20s.
