Police investigate reports of a credit union robbery in west El Paso
Police are investigating reports of a robbery at a credit union in west El Paso.
Thursday night, El Paso police released surveillance photos of the suspect.
Police have not confirmed if the suspect is a man or woman.
In the photos the suspect is seen wearing a surgical mask that covered their face.
The robbery happened Thursday afternoon at the Evolve Federal Credit Union at 6950 Pitt St. near Mesa St. and Resler Ave.
Exactly one week ago, a man robbed a WestStar bank at 425 Redd Rd., also in west El Paso. Police say he went in around 3:30 p.m., flashed a handgun as he demanded money and fired a shot as he was leaving.
The suspect is described as being 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a medium build, a thin mustache. He was wearing a light blue baseball cap.
It is unclear if the two incidents are related.
