Members of combined search and rescue team rescue injured female hiker

El Paso firefighters and members of the combined search and rescue team are bringing an injured female hiker down from the Wyler Aerial Tramway state park located in the 1700 block of McKinley.

First responders say a 49-year-old woman injured her ankle while hiking early this morning.

Members of the combined search and rescue team and lowering the injured hiker using a stokes litter.

The rocky terrain is proving to be a challenge to the rescuers.

Her injuries are believed to be not serious.
