Miners lose their 5th straight, Marshall tops UTEP 74-65

Turnovers once again came back to haunt the UTEP Miners as they dropped their 5th loss in a row.

This time it came at the hands of the Marshall Thundering Herd by a final of 74-65.

It was tale of two halfs for UTEP.

Miners came out sluggish in the first half, but still managed to go into the half down by just 10 points.

They were able to make it a game in the second half cutting Marshall’s lead to 4 points.

But once again turnovers were a problem.

UTEP gave the rock away 17 times in Saturday’s contest.

The loss drops UTEP’s overall record to 7-16, 2-9 in C-USA.

Miners will wrap up the 3 game homestand next Saturday against UT-San Antonio
