Police officers seize ‘meth burritos’ during traffic stop
Police in Los Angeles found 14 tightly wrapped foil packages that looked just like burritos.
After a closer inspection, the burritos turned out to be methamphetamine, police said.
“14 ‘burritos’ and a gun off the streets thanks to #LAPD Rampart Officers,” LAPD announced on its Twitter account, “But these aren’t your typical burritos…these were filled with meth!”
The ABC affiliate in Los Angeles reports the police officers found the meth burritos about 6:30 p.m. Saturday when they stopped a vehicle at Boston Street and Edgeware Road.
The meth burritos reportedly weighed more than 25 pounds.
The ABC affiliate reports police also “confiscated a handgun and cash and arrested one person for transportation of narcotics.”
