Northeast El Paso crash update: Victim dies

The victim in a rollover crash on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd last January has died of his injuries. He has been identified as 67 year old Angel Barrio.

The crash occurred around 7:00 AM on January 23rd after a silver sedan attempted to pass another vehicle traveling in the northbound direction1.8 miles north of Loma Real on MLK Jr. Boulevard. Barrio was driving in the southbound direction and attempted to avoid the passing sedan, but he lost control and his Toyota Tacoma overturned.

Barrio was transported to University Medical Center for treatment. Special Traffic Investigators were notified today that Barrio died of his injuries.
