Flix Brewhouse set to open at new $100 million mall in Northwest El Paso

Flix Brewhouse, which bills itself as “the world’s only combination first-run cinema and dine-in microbrewery,” has signed on to become the entertainment anchor at the West Towne Marketplace in Northwest El Paso.

The new $100 million mall, a 500,000 square foot retail, dining and entertainment destination, will be located at Interstate 10 and Paseo del Norte.

Developers say the new movie theater will feature nine auditoriums “equipped with parabolic screens, custom-designed luxury seating and state-of- the-industry digital audio and video including 4K projection and immersive sound.”

Similar to the Alamo Drafthouse, Flix Brewhouse offers moviegoers “unobtrusive, in-theater service from a complete cooked-to-order menu.” The movie theater will also offer a broad selection of soft drinks and adult beverages, including a dozen signature Flix Brewhouse-brand beers brewed on premises. “Guests can enjoy the brewpub and outdoor patio with or without a movie,” developers said.

“We’ve wanted to join the El Paso community for several years and being next to Cabela’s in West Towne Marketplace is ideal,” stated Flix CEO Allan Reagan. “We’re opening several new Texas locations in 2018 and 2019 and are excited to introduce the first of our new breed of cinema microbreweries right here,” Reagan added.

The original Flix Brewhouse is located in Round Rock, Texas.
