FDA: Pet food company issued four recalls after salmonella findings
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced four recalls for a pet food company after positive findings of salmonella in samples of the company’s products.
Products from the company like Duck with Vegetable Meals for Dogs and Chicken with Vegetable Meals for Dogs were recalled because they may be contaminated with salmonella, according to the FDA.
The FDA has investigated six complaints of illness and death in animals that have eaten the recalled products.
The latest recall was triggered by a complaint of an adult dog that had recurring diarrhea over a nine-month period, according to the FDA.
