Westside Natatorium almost ready to open
El Paso’s first indoor, competitive-style swimming pool is almost ready to open.
City officials said on a YouTube video that the pool has been filled, has lane markers and its lights are already installed.
The Westside Natatorium is located on Wallenberg Drive and Mesa Hills.
It has 8 lanes for 50-meters meets, 16 lanes for 25-yard meets and water polo area. The city said it will be used for competitions.
It is certified Olympic size.
The stadium can fit 700 people.
The city said the pool will open in the spring.
