NMSU clinches WAC regular season title following victory against UMKC
The NMSU Aggies have done it again.
Saturday night, the Aggies were crowned WAC regular season champions.
Two things needed to happen for NMSU to win the title.
First, defeat the University of Missouri Kansas City which the Aggies did by a final of 82-58.
Second, the Aggies needed Utah Valley to lose its game against Grand Canyon University.
Grand Canyon defeated Utah Valley 60-59.
NMSU wins its 3rd Wac regular season title in the last 4 years.
Aggies never struggled in their game against UMKC Saturday night at the Pan American Center.
NMSU lead at the half 40-28 and never gave up the lead.
It was a terrific way for NMSU’s seniors to go out in their final game at home.
Seniors Jemerrio Jones and Zach Lofton led the way in scoring for the Aggies each putting up 15 points.
NMSU wraps up the regular season next Saturday on the road against UT Rio Grande Valley.
