LCPD: Man exposed himself from apartment balcony, child witnessed incident

Las Cruces police arrested a man suspected of exposing himself and masturbating near a gas station where a woman and her son witnessed the incident Saturday Febraury, 24.

Investigators say the woman and her 4-year-old son spotted 45-year-old Ricky Rivera, of the 1600 block of Telshor Boulevard, exposing himself from the balcony of his nearby apartment.

The woman, along with her sister, tried to confront Rivera but he continued his behavior, according to police.

Police say one of the woman called 911 and an officer arrived in time to witness Rivera’s behavior before the suspect entered his apartment. Rivera was located inside the apartment and taken into custody.

Rivera is charged with a fourth-degree felony count of aggravated indecent exposure and three counts of indecent exposure. He was booked into the Doña Ana County Detention Center and was released on his own recognizance Sunday.
