The sculptures onI-10 and Airway will have a new use
The City of El Paso is now allowing organizations to apply to commemorate significant events by customizing the art installation’s light colors.
“Much like the Star on the Mountain, the public art at Airway and I-10 has become an important part of El Paso’s skyline,” said Museums and Cultural Affairs Department Public Art Supervisor Aidee Cosme in a news release.
It could be things like holidays or honor groups like first responders.
The Museum and Cultural Affairs Department developed the requirements and fees for organizations that want to apply.
Click here to access the application online.
There will be up to 11 available slots of no more than 15 days each that organizations can apply for.
The dates should be requested at least 90 days in advance.
