TMZ: NMSU offers admittance to David Hogg, other Parkland shooting survivors
Activist David Hogg, a survivor of the Parkland school shooting massacre, has been offered the opportunity to attend New Mexico State University, a letter obtained by TMZ states.
Dr. Miriam Chaiken, dean of the Honors College at NMSU, is welcoming Hogg and other Parkland student activists, TMZ reports. Chaiken wrote in the letter she is inspired by Hogg’s gun control advocacy and leadership since the shooting massacre.
Hogg made national headlines last week when he revealed he had been rejected by several universities, including the University of Southern California. Fox News Host Laura Ingraham teased Hogg on Twitter, accusing the activist of whining.
Hogg responded by posting a list of advertisers and sponsors on Ingraham’s cable news show and reaching out directly to the companies, asking if they would continue supporting Ingraham. The student activist’s tweets led to some companies pulling their advertising from Ingraham’s show.
The Fox News host later apologized, but Hogg rejected her apology as insincere.
