Chihuahuas back for home opener after series in Las Vegas

The El Paso Chihuahuas are back in the Borderland Tuesday for the team’s Home Opener of the 2018 season.

The dogs scored 14-0 against the Las Vegas 51s, which is the team’s biggest win thus far.

At 7:05 p.m.the first pitch is set to be thrown as the Chihuahuas take on the Salt Lake Bees.

Fans in the stands can chow down on $2 tacos in honor of Tuesday, and wash them down with $2 12 oz. Budweiser or Bud Light from about 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

But the deals and promotions don’t stop there.

Military, first responders and veterans get a 25 percent discount on games Monday through Thursday.

Seats are limited to zones D,E,K and L. Members just have to present a valid ID through govx.com or at Southwest University Park box office locations.

Freebies and theme nights are planned throughout the season.
