Borderland storms bring sprinkles in some areas and heavy rains in others
The weather made for some cool temps Thursday evening.
Some areas got a few sprinkles while others saw some heavy rains.
there were no major damages reported throughout the region and flooding in the area was at a minimal.
In the lower valley near loop 375 and North Loop Drive the weather made the perfect conditions for some outdoor activities.
“It’s a perfect day to play softball and the breeze is nice,” said one softball player.
On the Border Freeway the cloud cover and dusty conditions gave the Juarez X a purple glow.
In south central El Paso some light showers and lightning didn’t stop soccer players from enjoying a match but the Sunland Park area got a heavy dose of rains that slowed down traffic and caused some minor flooding.
